Are We Friends?

So the big game for the 13-14 year olds was today. The first team won their 5th in a row game and qualified for the semi-finals as the first team (game ended in a 5-3 win).

But the really better game was the second team’s, with much preparations and stuff. Everybody expected the opponents to be much more strong and win it by much. but it didn’t exactly go that way.

The game started slow, 15 minutes without any goals. Until… Kerem broke the dead lock to make 1-0. Uzun Yusuf (opponents) equalised eventually in the last minutes of first half. With 1-1 in the half, our team was qualifying with that result. the opposition surely didn’t want that and their manager talked hard with them so that they understand this. Second half begin with a quick goal for U.Yusuf. 2-1. And just when everybody expected them to take the game from here on and win by far… they didn’t. Kemal made it 2-2. Less than a minute later Kerem made it 3-2. it was really game on then, but it was all until U.Yusuf equalise with Ferit and do what everybody expected of them: win by far. Yes they did it then. 9-3 the final score.

With these results, first team qualified as first in their group and second team got eliminated.

Now it turns out, the first team also plays the SAME team, in the semis. Wow, this is gonna be great.

…Even though it does show that the tournament managers are trying to fix the results as that’s what they wanted.
