Show It Off Please

Today morning instead of my regular small field running I decided to actually stay for the KMP friendly game against Davutpaşa which they won by a 5 goal margin.

After the game, the team’s coach said they have 30 minutes left on their time so he decided to let everyone play and arranged a game between the KMP players themselves. The coach took the leading role in the “powerful team” and gave me the leading role for the “underdog team” as Ardi said he won’t do it and suggested me as a replacement.

To the surprise of everyone the underdogs won by a 4 goal margin.

Back at our own field it was a stars galore as many of the local star players of my age or younger were there. And so we decided to have a 5 vs. 5. It started a bit normal but after 10 minutes it was all ‘dribble and go’ and it all looked like an all-star match.

I dribbled Fatih and Kerem in one move and earned a superb free kick. Then Kerem dribbled me so I had to take my revenge by dribbling him AND Fatih again. It was really fun. A satisfying way to end a long week.

Next week could be a decisive one as I get ready to participate in maybe more than one professional selection and/or showing off my skills for the KMP youth team coach.
