Sorry, Kids

And just like that, the team training today was ALSO an only conditional exercises training. I personally find running around with 20 others boring, cause I run around everyday anyway. And I tell you, I’m not saying this cause I don’t like to run, it’s simply because everybody gets tired except me and 2 or [...]

You Need This!

We were invited to an invitational only Istanbul Ofspor game, organized by Mahmut the coach. 18 people total turned up, including the coaches who also played. 7 vs. 7 meant 4 people were going to be subs. But not me. I started in the first 7… as a freaking fudging faultering Left Back. Still I [...]

Now, That Was Close

Today the kids team had a game with Altınyıldız, the team with the maniac insulting coach. They had players more like 12-13 year olds and our team had 10-11. Still, with all that went wrong the team only managed to lose 5-4 against them. Without 3 of the starting line-up. That was impressive still. Really. [...]

Not Even Close

Morning I was so tired and bored that I didn’t go for anything outside. Instead went for it at 7 pm. The total distance to the running park itself was 5 km. Add 2.8 km that I ran non-stop plus another 5 km for return. Yeah 13 km. And when I got home I still [...]

Tornado Royale

A day starting with big tornados and involving a friendly game getting canceled in the middle of the game. Then a not so good training for the kids in the evening. So today was pretty unlucky but at least good for recovery perhaps.

Pretty, Pretty Good

Another day just like Tuesday this week. A two hour light training in the morning then back to home for some rest and this time… wait for it, wait for it… an hour of training in the afternoon, but boy was that a training or a reminder of what it is like in the army. [...]

A Quiet Day

Ardi and I went for a morning recap with others in the football field. Also training and managing 10 laps with the ball. Then seeing a house they told us to look in, as possible future rental house we can live in. But that house didn’t even have a shower or bath. Too bad, we [...]

Double Training… Score!

Had a training at 9 am to 11 am, then stuck around for the team meeting promised. Only eating like 1/3 a bread for lunch. Then at 3 pm, the meeting went on and all new players, including me were there. From 12 to 18 year olds. The coach decided to do a small training [...]

Am I Back Or What?

So today was when I had to REALLY come back from illness and be 100%. And we did so. We managed a 3 people training, consisting of 20 minutes non-stop running, 10 minutes stretching exercises and 30 minutes of shooting and crossing. All in the 31+ centigrade degress weather. Man, that was hot. Literally.

Just Ordinary

Had a training in Uzun Yusuf in very hot weather in the morning. Kemal (ex-footballer and one of the field workers) also came and did some shots. He’s pretty good. Then was Istanbul Fatihleri (Ardi’s football school team) and KMP (Ardi’s co-managed team), which to the surprise of everyone the football school won by a [...]
