It was the reverse of yesterday. Nothing seemed right today and I even got hit in the eye heavily with a football.
Then the game was ruined by a mofo and even more ruined by a second mofo. Finalised by a third and killed by a fourth!!!! That’s bad. Very bad. The non-existent lighting didn’t help that either. Make it five. It was terrible!

For the first time in a long while, I had a bit of fun watching international football. Wow. Although it would be another 100 days for the World Cup to come through. Club matches for the win!!!!
A nice night out and to be honest, great night too.

It was a Tuesday but a quite happy Tuesday! Had fun, did some jobs and of course played in the park! All in the same day and although the days seem shorter everyday we seem to be getting the hang of it!

March is here! And is it here or whaaat! Whaddup! I tell you what. 5 new jobs. We were in Taksim and Nisantasi for the whole day. Actually 1 pm to 9 pm. We worked. Hard. And we were rewarded. No, we didn’t dig anything or use shovels. We’re into computer stuff. Although a shovel sounds good right about now. Either way, thank you MARCH!

Somebody remind me not to wish for too many events in a day. I mean WHAT an unexpected turn of events today. Some I might not forget about for my life. Just to have a shot at forgetting, I’m leaving out that part. No, it doesn’t have anything to do with rape if you wonder. Now that we got the horrified part done, let’s do the surprised one.
Surprised at someone (a tourist) randomly asking us for help (Finally!) to help him discover the city and we are now friends, me, Ardi and him.
HAPPY at… Bayern winning Hamburg for the first time in Allianz Arena and ending the spell or curse or whatever the crap they think they had by a 1-0 win and a Ribery goal. Bayern go first for the first time this season. I’d like to hear this again: FC Bayern ist die meister! Even if it’s at the last moments.

I hate those! And it was one of them today too! Damn it.
I helped 2 people in their computer problems… for free. Played just a bit of football near the park and of course hung out with friends. It was a social call and I don’t really like those when it’s not about playing football and just talking. HATE. THOSE. Still I pretended to like it. Why? I don’t know.
In other news, something that made the day better. Actually, made it great. Leverkusen was held 0-0 in their own ground by Köln. So if Bayern could finally beat Hamburg after SEVERAL seasons and end the spell that started in Allianz, Bayern would go top for the first time this season. We’re doing this!

We went out with friends to look at how the football games are going and to drink milkshakes. The last order we had was 2 milkshakes but the McDonald’s employee thought we actually paid for 3 and was insisting on giving us the third one for free that was when… we were like NOOOOOO. Why we went like NOOOOO? I don’t know. But still I’m sure we did the right thing although the person who orders that milkshake will regret it. Go figure!

Boredom continued today as everything was all the same except me and Ardi could hang out a bit at the mall in the evening hours. Was relaxing but still, it was a very boring day.

Since what, though?
I tell you since what.
Since my hopes to begin a normal — if not spectacular — footballing career were revived and given hope. But then again, when I look back the hopes and everything were just lies at the time.
But they earned me a lot of recognition, friends, team mates, match experiences, training experiences and made me the player I am. I was never as good as this. I could never have carried a team which is totally made up of underdogs to beat strong opponents. I was never as fit as now. And the list continues.
What I will do now? Well, keep trying. That’s for sure.
Thanks for a great year!!
P.S. Hopefully there’s more of the same this year, but with actual hopes!

Perhaps an insulting way to start a post but really, that’s what I said to the team’s captain who called me up for the game and even told me I’m gonna play in it the whole game and just 2 minutes prior to the match he announces that he brought another player who’s gonna play in my place for the first half. I’m never picky and never want to start drama, so I agreed. But perhaps it was really wrong of me to do so. Because in the half-time period he said “NO, you’re NOT getting in.” and said nothing else. They were 2-0 down at half time. Right after the break they scored a goal to make it 2-1. It all AGAIN looked good but soon 2 out of the 3 new players he had brought were out of breaths 5 minutes after the break. They eventually went down 5-1 after some funny goals scored by a team which ALSO featured forwards who can’t score a goal even if the goal is empty. Then right after the 5th goal, he says: “Now you can come!” to which I replied: “No, thank you sir.” I usually wouldn’t call him sir neither do I usually turn down an offer like that, but the reason was that he expects me to pay full price for a match that I only get to play 7 minutes in? I’m not THAT much in love with football. Not today.
Then they continued on and on until it was 7-1. They didn’t lose hope (Wow, really?!) until they scored a goal which was really one scored by an accident. 7-2 and 30 seconds later, a mix up cancelled it out to make it 8-2. A funny game and also sad at the same time. If I had started the game, it would clearly have been 10-3 or something for the team. If I had gone in for the second half, it would have been like 7-5 or something. But when I didn’t go in at all, it was 8-2 for the opposition. There you go, captain. Screw you.
